Ooh I love the thought of the Stilton Rice Pudding! We were thinking that pears poached in port might have tickled his fancy? Or is that a bit of a cliche!?

I think I would go with a starter of Oysters with Shallot Vinegar and then a Pigeon Pie with Mash and Peas and then a White Stilton Rice Pudding all finished with champagne hopefully this would satisfy 'tummy time'

Seven Days one Summer, is a good easy read for those summer holidays. Its easy to pick up and put down again and you can pick the story up again. The characters are all normal people and we could see ourselves and our friends in every character. All in all the book group did enjoy the read however, it disn't really have a great story line and wasn't really a gripping story but it was a good read.

To get us started here is a review from the Lye Down and Read Book Club:
We thought that this book was well written & enjoyable. A book about the aftermath of tragedy and how the actions of parents when their children are young affects them in later life. An excellent first novel.
